United Airlines is significantly boosting its transatlantic network with a major expansion to Dublin, offering year-round daily flights from Chicago and doubling services from Newark. The move marks a 50% capacity surge between the US and Ireland, reinforcing Dublin’s position as a key European hub for United.

With US preclearance in Dublin and Shannon, United streamlines connections for time-conscious business travellers and logistics-sensitive cargo. These expanded services also give United an edge over American and Delta, offering more annual seats to Ireland than any other US carrier.

The strategy is clear: leverage high-demand European markets with operational efficiency, lean into preclearance advantages, and widen reach with underserved secondary destinations.
